Badlands, South Dakota
The White River Badlands could be considered a pocket-sized cousin
to Arizona's Grand Canyon. Beyond the family resemblance, what's
most impressive about the "Badlandscape" is not its scale,
as at the Canyon, but rather its sheer strangeness.
